Job Description:
Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to effectively time phase materials, equipment, and commodity products of high complexity for government and commercial programs, in support of Program material requirements, schedules, and cash flow objectives.
Daily responsibilities will include:
Ensuring raw material requirements are identified and planned according to scheduling requirements from Engineering specifications and production schedules
Managing the flow and execution of purchase requisitions to Procurement
Serve as the primary interface between Procurement and Program with responsibility to resolve challenges during design, procurement cycle and through final receipt and ensure timely and compliant delivery
Working with Procurement to manage lead times with suppliers and timely delivery schedules
Monitoring and reconciling any relevant Supply Chain disruptions that develop throughout the program lifecycle
Working with Manufacturing and Production Planners to plan, schedule, and monitor the efficient movement of material through the receiving, stockroom, and kitting process to production and/or engineering development
Budget management and control
Engagement and reporting to many program disciplines including Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Legal, Finance, Configuration Management, Production Planning and Manufacturing
Leading status and team meetings
Developing strategies, implementing plans, and tracking progress for cost savings initiatives
Responsible for managing complex programs with little oversight, including delegation of support work
Estimate and manage labor budget for material management resources
Establish, track, and report Earned Value Mangaement performance for large budget programs
Develop strategies, implement plans, and track progress for cost savings initiatives
Participate and/or lead projects as assigned
Identify process improvements and facilitate implementation
Essential Functions:
Motivated self-starter with comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain processes and the Material Management Process Flow
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software and advanced concepts
Experience with FAR, MMAS, SOX, and CAS requirements, as well as ITAR and EAR regulations
Work should be performed independently with little oversight
Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide array of professional levels and functions
Apply innovation, comprehensive information gathering, analysis, and investigation to solve complex problems.
Manage program budgets and explain variances in monthly performance
Ability to navigate FAR regulations and internal procedures for compliance
Ability to generate sales forecasts and variance reports
Follow strategic direction set by Program and functional leadership.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
TS/SCI clearance preferred, but not required
Lean Six Sigma experience
APICS and/or ISM certification preferred, but not required
