Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Program Manager to lead a growing program through a new development phase and into production.
The chosen candidate will have proven experience in program management to include successful demonstration of program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
Responsibilites include driving program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow.
The Program Manager is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program.
The Program Manager acts as the primary customer contact for program activities and for leading program review sessions.
The Program Manager establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions such as allocating resources or changing specifications.
The Program Manager may be required to generate proposals for new business pursuits and participate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.
The ideal candidate is a self starter who is comfortable coordinating multiple parallel activities with a diverse functional team.
Essential Functions:
• Lead internal program team and monitor all program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, performance requirements, schedules, and cost commitments
• Manage programs through the integration of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes and procedures
• Proposal manager for production Lots and Engineer Change Proposal (ECPs) by leading proposal effort including kickoff, cost and pricing reviews, and cost proposal submittal
• Lead or participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes
• Identify existing or potential program risks and obtain solutions such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
• Ensure that all required staffing resources are available for the program
• Participate in and contribute to internal cost, schedule, and technical reporting requirements
• Oversee the generation, quality, and timeliness of all written customer deliverables and reports
• Interact directly with and foster an excellent working relationship with customers
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
• MBA, PMP, or Master’s in industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Demonstrated abiltiy to lead teams across a matrix environemnt
• Working knoweldge of and leading proposals and Change and/or Risk Management
• Strong understand and demonstrated skill with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
• Experience with the Business Acquisition Process while working within an organization handling government contracts
