We are seeking a highly experienced Electronic Packaging / Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 9 years of hands-on expertise.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in a cross-functional team dedicated to developing advanced Space systems.
From concept to hardware integration and testing, you will work collaboratively with Designers, Thermal/Structural Analysts, Systems Engineers, and other engineering disciplines, as well as engage with Program Managers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Lead and direct experienced professionals, effectively communicating both within and outside the organization to drive changes in policies, practices, or approaches.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to pioneer innovative solutions.
Leverage strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills to guide and contribute to mechanical, electro-mechanical, and system analyses, including thermal, fluid, structural, and power.
Mechanical Design:
Create intricate mechanical designs and execute layouts for multiple products.
Demonstrate expertise in packaging electrical components like Circuit Cards, Connectors, and cables, encompassing design, integration, and validation in rugged environments, including ground, avionics, and space.
RF Design Experience
Prototyping and Testing:
Lead the mechanical design process, from prototyping to testing and troubleshooting.
Develop relevant design control documentation and implement test protocols for both informal and formal design testing.
Author written assembly and test procedures for new designs.
Technical Leadership (Continued):
Lead the generation of technical content for bids, including scope capture, requirements development, materials pricing, and labor estimates.
Actively mentor and train junior engineers, fostering their growth.
Vendor Interaction:
Interact with external vendors to source necessary parts and components.
Utilize expertise in the design of additive manufactured parts, machined parts, weldments, sheet metal parts, and cable assemblies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree (MS/PhD) and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
Proven CAD experience, particularly in PTC CREO/Windchill.
Proficiency in ASME Y14.
5M-1994 and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to articulate issues, problems, and results impacting project data accuracy and reliability.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/DFMA).
Expertise in machined part design.
Knowledge of plastic and/or sheet metal part design.
Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) cost and schedule practices.
Experience with Cost Account and/or Project Management.
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
