Lead, Project Engineer (TS/SCI)

Description: Job Title: Lead, Project Engineer (TS/SCI clearance) Job Code: SAS20231509-106128 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Description: L3Harris has an immediate opening for a full lifecycle Project Engineer to support a range of software development as well as integration efforts utilzing Agile Methodology and tools.
The PE will be responsible for leading a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments in a growing business area.
Essential Duties: Develops, oversees and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering projects within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
Assesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks and opportunities.
Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.
Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
Develop a schedule using Earned Value (EV), and manage a project using the Earned Value Indicators.
Participate in small teams and perform a wide variety of tasks.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Experience in optical, micro-electronics and/or mechanical engineering.
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) and Microsoft Project.
Experience with best practices for project engineering and program execution Experience in managing multi-discipline programs across multiple locations Experience in hardware/software integration programs.
Experience managing projects with budgets of $30M+.
Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management.
Experience with managing Agile SW development programs including using Confluence.
Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a Poly Preferred Additional Skills: Active TS/SCI security clearance with a CI Poly.
Experience leading Government Contract development programs.
Experience or knowledge of Government contract acquisition lifecycle a plus.
Experience with management of design to cost activities.
Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities.
Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques.
Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
