The NPE may support a large international program in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) through business travel potentially up to 90 days at a time.
Expected to perform Enterprise design, integration, configuration, and testing for the Enterprise Network team in support of program activities.
Ability to set up, configure and manage hardware and software in diverse development lab and production environments.
Expected to contribute to all Enterprise Network engineering activities pertaining to CDRL's, setup and integration, documentation, and test/verification activities.
Network engineering position requires a strong technical emphasis with responsibility for contributing to CONOPS, Use Cases, Enterprise Network Performance analysis, disaster recovery
Reports into program Network Engineering Lead and must have experience multi-tasking supporting multiple teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent of a 4-year accredited degree in a technical discipline.
9+ years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Domain knowledge and hands on experience in one or more of the following technical areas is preferred:
Must have at least 9 years of experience working in network engineering or in the information technology field.
Bachelor’s degree
Hands on experience with architecting and deploying Microsoft Active Directory domains, applications, and services.
Hands on experience with architecting and deploying VMware, Nutanix, or other similar hypervisors.
Hands on experience with administration of Virtual Machines and Virtual Networking (VMWare vSwitch or other).
Hands on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other enterprise class network hardware.
Experience working in lab and field environments.
Enterprise networks to include Data Centers, Database Systems, and Tactical Edge systems with disadvantaged communications.
Understanding of Network Management Systems & NetOps (NetBoss, SolarWinds or equivalent)
Experience with bare metal and KVM virtual environments (VMware, Ubuntu, RHEL)
Microsoft Enterprise Applications and services (Active Directory, MS Server 2016/2019, SharePoint 2016, On premises Skype for Business, Exchange, Endpoint Configuration Manager)
Network technology and protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, LACP, SHDSL
Experience with Network Security (HAIPE, IPSec, Firewalls, Cross Domain Gateways, 2 factor authentication, etc.
)
IA, Networking, or Enterprise Certifications (SEC+, CCNA, A+, Microsoft Certifications)
Hands-on experience with Network Attached Storage, backup solutions, off-site data storage
Familiarization with domestic and foreign military tactical and network equipment
