L3Harris corporation is seeking a dynamic Information Security System Engineer to perform critical system design and implementation in unique and challenging programs.
The selected candidate will be part of an exclusive national security program and work on the design, development, deployment, and O&M for critical wireless, infrastructure and/or communication programs.

Essential Functions:
Experience in systems administration of AWS/EC2/S3 cloud environments
Experience managing the AWS life cycle, along with security, provisioning, and orchestration of systems using industry standard Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
Experience maintaining access control, data integrity, and data flow of AWS applications.
AWS Cloud Practitioner Certs
Experience with VMware products (Horizon, Vsphere, Appvolumes)
Experience with RHEL 8 or higher
Experience customizing, optimizing, and troubleshooting enterprise level applications
Experience configuring and maintaining Linux virtual systems
Experience in Linux automation using Kickstart, Podman and Ansible
Experience in Using Containers and Docker
Experience deploying infrastructure through automation
Coding experience using C++ web apps, Object oriented Programming and Bash Scripting, REST
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), agile system development, and DevSecOps tools and processes, and using Agile
Experience using Active directory/LDAP and integrating it in a RHEL environment
Self-motivation, able to work well independently and within inter-disciplinary engineering teams
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong Documentation skills
Recommending and implementing engineering design changes required to adapt technical requirements
Support critical operations during standard and non-standard working hours
Work must be accomplished onsite
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of relevant experience or,
Graduate Degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
DoD 8570.
01-M IAT Level 2 certification (Sec+)
Active TS/SCI with CI poly
Preferred Additional Skills:
Previous experience supporting DoD & IC Government customers
Experience in non-traditional & highly technical, classified environments
Experience providing clear and concise briefing ability of technical projects to non-technical audiences and customers
Experience with MBSE
Demonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented, matrix environment
Demonstrated self-starter - efficient in achieving goals and proactive in pursuing subsequent task
Demonstrated scripting experience (Bash/Shell, Python, Perl) to provide System Administration efficiencies
Demonstrated knowledge of database administration/troubleshooting (i.

Oracle, MySql, Postgres)
Demonstrated experience performing root cause analysis of a Linux applications and services
Experience in using and creating LDAP and Linux IDM Familiarity with implementing and maintaining Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) in compliance with RMF security frameworks on Linux and Windows components
Experience implementing patching, scanning, remediating findings, auditing (IAVA Compliance), and integrating RMF principles into ground-up builds
Experience with Nessus installation/configuration and running
Working knowledge of Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
Working knowledge of certificate-based security (TLS, SSL, OCSP)
Working knowledge of networking elements, including TCP/IP protocols & ports, DNS, NAT, subnet masks, etc.
