Essential Functions:
Evaluate program and site specific power requirements and develop installation plans (Site Survey Plans, Site Requirements Package)
Develop system level interconnect diagram.
Develop Content and present in support of program design reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR)
Mentor and guide more junior engineers and technicians in the design, build, and test phases of projects and programs.
Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and integrating electronic equipment, electronic parts, and integrated circuitry.
Work will be completed with minimal requirement for oversite.
Assist with the development of top-level specification and manage requirement flow down to lower level specifications.
Implement Strategic goals established by engineering leadership team.
Responsible for providing technical planning, verification and validation, cost and risk supportability, and effectiveness analysis for total systems.
Support the proposal process by providing technical inputs and developing Basis of Estimates
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred/Additional Skills:
Experience in site Power Design and Layout
Experience in performing and documenting site surveys
Familiar with the NEC
Experience with the determination of Arc Flash Hazard Boundaries
Experience with cable design and building of cable harnesses
Experience evaluating the impact of foreign electrical code on complex systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance or have one already.
Ability to interface with Customer organization to drive understanding, agreement, closure though formal documentation of the technical baseline.
Own and be able to present the technical baseline to the execution team through documentation oversight of lower level specifications, informal working group and peer sessions as well as formal design reviews.
