Job Description Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for an Engineering Manager 3 (System Reliability & Maintainability) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This leadership opportunity is located in Melbourne, FL.
The Manager will be assigned work in the Logistics & Modernization organization leading a team in System Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering and Obsolescence Management.
Candidate will be responsible for ensuring R&M performance and strategic obsolescence management program requirements are achieved.
Essential Experience: Program Management Execution of Sub-IPT Requirements.
Strategic Alignment with Sector objectives.
Enable identification of technical refresh opportunities based on R&M performance and DMSMS forecast.
Functional Management / Leadership Development.
Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management.
Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Customer Liaison.
Preferred background in: R&M Engineering R&M allocations and predictions Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis Mission reliability analysis Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Maintainability demonstrations Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers Supportable Low Observables (SLO) Support Efforts Obsolescence Management Bill of Material Management Proactive End of Life (EOL) Coverage for all DMSMS relevant items to enable proactive DMSMS management Case Management Key Responsibilities: The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significant diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Enable continuous operational efficiency objectives are met to minimize cost and schedule Ensure technical performance measure (TPM) objectives are achieved with return to green (RTG) plans, as required.
Ensure SOW objectives are met across both teams.

Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 10 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in reliability/maintainability/testability and obsolescence management as well as a background in leadership roles or team lead roles OR Master’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in reliability/maintainability/testability and obsolescence management as well as a background in leadership roles or team lead roles.
Understanding of reliability, maintainability, and testability analyses and methodology.
Understanding of Supportable Low Observables analyses and objectives.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years).
Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline.
Current Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) Strong working knowledge of RM&T analyses.
Understanding of Obsolescence and DMSMS Management analyses and execution.
Experienced mentor.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillset.
Proficient with standard Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Salary Range: $156,000 - $234,000 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
