Essential Functions: Experience with complex satcom systems.
Perform system level analysis of complex RF systems.
Knowledge of optimization of system system level RF chains.
Investigate new technologies and applications for RF Systems.
Experience with RF test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers) Experience with design of RF circuit architecture.
Detailed understanding of satellite communications, development, and analysis of RF link budgets.
Mentor and guide more junior engineers and technicians in the design, build, and test phases of projects and programs.
Assist with the development of top-level specification and manage requirement flow down to lower level specifications.
Responsible for providing technical planning, RF system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk supportability, and effectiveness analysis for total systems.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred/Additional Skills: 7+ years of RF Communication Systems experience Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other disciplines (Digital, System, Mechanical, Software, I&T, Manufacturing, etc).
RF System Architecture development to meet project requirements within project cost budget and schedule timelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance or have one already.
Ability to interface with Customer organization to drive understanding, agreement, closure though formal documentation of the technical baseline.
Own and be able to present the technical baseline to the execution team through documentation oversight of lower level specifications, informal working group and peer sessions as well as formal design reviews.
Full competency in core RF engineering and antenna theory and skills.
RF Communication Systems experience.
Familiarity with MIL-STD-188-164 Ability to interface with Customer organization to drive understanding, agreement, closure though formal documentation of the technical baseline.
Own and be able to present the technical baseline to the execution team through documentation oversight of lower level specifications, informal working group and peer sessions as well as formal design reviews.
Experience with design of RF components, including, power dividers, couplers, frequency converters, and power amplifiers.
Analytical design experience using software and simulation tools such as AWR Microwave Office, ADS, CST, Complex Excel Spreadsheets, and HFSS.
Experience with Government contracting, proposal writing, and business acquisition process Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
