Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Functional Site Lead- Publications (S03) position to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position is located onsite in Melbourne, Florida reporting to the Director of Product Support, and will be a key member of the site leadership team.
This Senior Leader will be responsible for coordinating the vision and strategy for the Product Support Technical Publications and Data organizations in the Melbourne Center and collaborate with the Technical Discipline leads to meet business unit and Product Support objectives.
The Technical Publication and Data discipline is responsible for assessing the program requirements for identification of products, planning the tasking, identifying and forecasting the acquisition of the data, organizing the content, developing and coordinating the business rules, style guides, shaping the content, developing and recording the technical output, defining the illustrations, final assembly, quality reviews and rework, certification of data, and final publishing of the data to support operations and sustainment of our products.
All this work is done with a high level of coordination with other technical, test, contractual, scheduling, and business teams.
Responsibilities will include and not be limited to: Understanding all the contractual requirements, focusing on the Technical Publications and Data across the business units at the Melbourne Center.
Understanding the current workforce and skills across the business units.
Develop the team, train in methods and procedures, conduct performance appraisals, counsel employees, and make other personnel decisions as required.
Equitably manage the promotions, merits, and bonuses that affordably balances the experience base across the Melbourne Center.
Drive improved employee engagement and appreciation through verbal, written, and tangible recognition, events, and personal interactions.
Estimate and obtain resources and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Providing leadership, shaping the strategic vision and direction, for the Technical Disciplines well as providing oversight of Technical Publications teams within the organization.
Promote and plan for discipline innovation.
Determine needs for outsourcing publication development and publishing and evaluate and select vendors where appropriate.
Oversee program and project reviews, independent technical reviews, program stand-up reviews, assist in process improvement plans, proposal review.
Assist and guide customer engagement activities, with organizations, with the logistics support and sustainment of our products after we deliver them.
Have strong experience with the development of supplier relationships, sustainment, and performance, including the development and coordination of metrics and schedules.
Build and sustain a team to promote on time and on schedule performance.
Monitor industry trends to ensure that Northrop Grumman Aerospace Sector maintains a top position in the industry.
Make recommendations to management on technical or procedure changes to maintain a top position.
Benchmark on an annual basis other OEMs and suppliers to ensure that the Technical Publications Discipline technology and processes remain at a high level.
Recommend and support discipline initiatives aimed at improving quality and sustainment.

Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s degree AND 9 years of related professional/military engineering experience that includes a background in supporting U.
S.
Government contracts and customers and/or project management, and scheduling, OR a Master’s degree and 7 years of related professional/military engineering experience that includes a background in supporting U.
S.
Government contracts and customers and/or project management, and scheduling.
At least 10 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.
A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years) and eligibility for Top Secret Clearance and SCI is required to start.
Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Possess a working knowledge of all twelve Product Support technical disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications: Current Special Program Access (PAR) Program Management experience.
Working knowledge of DoD Logistics / Sustainment / MRO customers and Northrop Grumman military aircraft types and mission and execution.
Experience working across the total program lifecycle with emphasis on influencing design to optimize the fielded support solution.
Experience providing International Product Support solutions.
Experience with or exposure to digital design initiatives and solutions to include Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Model Based Sustainment (MBS) Aviation maintenance and/or pilot experience is preferred.
A strong understanding and working knowledge of S1000D International Specification for the Procurement and Production of Technical Publications experience is preferred.
2D/3D CAD tools experience.
Strong experience with the development of supplier relationships, sustainment, and performance, including the development and coordination of metrics and schedules.
Salary Range: $152,100 - $228,100 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
