Strand Hospitality Services is hiring for the General Manager position for a new SpringHill Suites by Marriott.
Strand is expanding within very strong markets in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Ohio.
We are looking for strong leaders to join our team to grow with the company.
The candidate would have the support of Strand's leadership located throughout the five states, and the corporate office in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

This individual is expected to be an ambassador for the brand and the hotel, provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments to support our Company’s mission and values.
She/he will work with above property leadership, hotel ownership and other stakeholders to ensure profitability and guest satisfaction.
Operations and sales functions are the responsibility of the General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities The General Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1.
Assist in hotel opening 2.
Embody and direct ownership’s vision through day-to-day management of departments for the hotel 3.
Implement and maintain a strong guest service program 4.
Coach and counsel employees to ensure a positive and supportive team in a guest centered environment 5.
Provide exceptional leadership to Hotel staff to motivate and create a culture of learning and growth 6.
Ensure full compliance to company, brand and hotel standards, policies and procedures 7.
Hold daily meetings with staff and regular management meetings to support clear communication and direction 8.
Lead team in providing excellent customer service to guests.
Be responsive to guest concerns and take proactive steps to ensure guest satisfaction 9.
Prepare, present and meet timeliness expectations submitting Hotel’s forecast, budget, sales and marketing plans and month-end reports 10.
Manage finances by submitting invoices timely, making daily bank cash deposits, and actively pursuing payment of collections accounts 11.
Promote and market the business to meet or exceed forecasted revenue goals 12.
Deliver clear, timely and specific feedback to staff 13.
Support the open-door policy and all Human Resources policies to encourage a positive environment for all employees, and to reduce turnover 14.
Ensure adequate tools and supplies are ordered timely and available to support maintenance, housekeeping, food & beverage and all areas of Hotel 15.
Oversee renovations, furnishing changes, interior and exterior cleanliness and landscaping 16.
Prepare for and successfully pass all internal and external audits 17.
Maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers 18.
Maintain guest room standards 19.
Implement inventory controls 20.
Other duties as assigned or needed to achieve success Requirements * Prior Marriott hotel exempt level management experience required * Experience opening a Marriott hotel highly desired.
* Experience with managing budgets and meeting financial goals * Experience with inventory management * Entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills * Must have a reliable insured vehicle and a satisfactory driving record.
