*Position*: Materials Manager
*Reporting* to: Vice President & Director of Operations
The purpose of this position is to manage the physical and systematic flow of materials into and out of the company and manage supporting personnel.
*Roles & Responsibilities include:*
· Maintain relationships and negotiations with suppliers.
· On-board new suppliers (certifications, surveys, audits).
· Monitor inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer demands.
· Review work orders to ensure in line with objectives.
· Review annual programs established with suppliers to achieve cost savings where applicable.
· Monitor and report purchase price variances (PPV) by order.
· Establish procedures and supervise physical inventories by customer.
· Identify and report on excess/obsolete inventory.
· Review and report on EOL components, based on current demand and/or past history, supplied by the manufacture through distribution.
· Be able to identify issues in MRP system by tracking component history.
· Monitor and advise on excessive attrition and scrap of raw materials.
· Oversee reconciliation of receipts for incoming shipments.
· Oversee verification that components and materials meet the requirements of purchase orders, engineering and assembly documentation, and packing slips and report discrepancies to Quality Assurance.
· Maintain physical location and quantity of components and materials from release to return to inventory.
· Identify and maintain control of customer furnished materials.
· Prepare components and material for return to vendor or customer as required.
· Assist in maintaining finished goods inventory.
· Cycle count raw and finished goods inventory.
· May include any other reasonable tasks necessary to assure a success of current business and company growth.
*Qualifications:*
· Associate degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering and/or electronic manufacturing environment.
· Must have experience with electrical component materials.
· Logistics experience to include scheduling and transportation internationally.
· Proficiency in supply chain management from raw materials to final product delivery.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office with a focus on Word and Excel.
· Ability to interpret and comprehend blueprints and engineering documentation (e.
g.
schematics, assembly drawings, and component specifications) including industry workmanship standards.
· Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485, and IATF16949.
*Working Conditions:*
· Additional work hours may be requested to include weekends.
· Required to use and handle hazardous materials.
*Physical Requirements:*
· May be required to lift up to 25lbs.
· Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach within arm’s length, stoop, kneel and crouch.
· Perform repetitive tasks.
· Specific vision duties to include close, distance, peripheral, and ability to adjust focus.
