Assistant Plant Manager

The primary function of this position is to assist the Plant Manager with supervision and management of shop activities and act with the full authority of the Plant Manager in his/her absence.
The Assistant Plant Manager will effectively assist with the lead and coordination all day-to-day activities in the shop.
This position will manage all aspects of Quality and ISO standards to maintain compliance.
The position requires the ability to work on an ERP system and with delivery dates in that system.
The Assistant Plant Manager will work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure machines are kept operational and in compliance with preventive maintenance.
The position also requires the ability to provide Human Resources support under the direction of the Plant Manager and/or the company’s Human Resources Manager.
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree or five years or more experience in a supervisory position in a manufacturing environment.
The candidate should have a knowledge of business forms and technical documents, including blueprints.
He/she should be comfortable in a machine shop environment.
