Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Administrative Assistant to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals, for functional homeroom support within the Systems Engineering Directorate.
This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
The successful candidate must be proactive, well-organized, dependable and work with minimal supervision.
The position requires professionalism, flexibility, diplomacy, judgment, discretion, and the ability to multitask and work independently.
You must have the ability to filter high traffic correspondence and contacts, interface with all levels of management and customers, and manage schedules including conflicts and changing travel requirements.
Essential Functions: - Consistently manage all calendar events and special functions (special presentations and events) by planning and organizing to ensure all details are handled in advance, and orchestrating events so that functions run smoothly.
- Schedule meetings, and frequently schedule and reschedule when interruptions occur; thus ensuring the director is able to hold regular 1:1 consultations with direct reports and protégés.
- Handling standard office coordination and organization such as setting up and maintaining files; interviewing callers and making proper referrals; receiving, referring, or answering mail; answering questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures.
- Reviewing drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage; compiling reports on information relevant to supervisor’s assignment (e.
g.
status notes).
- Providing administrative assistance to the Vice President during Administrative Assistant's absence.
Basic Qualifications: - High School and 6 years of related experience - Six years of experience and evidence of successful work dealing with detail-oriented tasks - Six years of experience with MS Office products - Six years of experience supporting customers, management, and employees in a fast-paced office environment - Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance prior to start Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in travel arranging and reimbursement in Concur - Proficient in Outlook Calendar functionality - Enrolled in classes or continuing education - Active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) Salary Range: $55,100 - $91,800 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
