As our Staff Accountant, you will work directly with the Accounting Manager and Controller and play a key role as part of a growing manufacturing facility while having an impact on improving the reporting processes while gaining valuable manufacturing accounting experience for a growing division of a multi-billion dollar, public company.
Responsibilities include understanding the unique financial needs of each customer, helping to develop strategic growth plans, and ensuring exceptional internal and external customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience in manufacturing accounting is a plus but not mandatory
Demonstrate a willingness to collaborate, learn, and adapt to new abilities
Enthusiasm to take on responsibilities and partner with stakeholders
Desire to exceed and have a flexible, can-do attitude
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Be ethical and focused on solutions
Be skillful with technology and business tools utilized by Finance

What will you be Accountable for?
Fast & accurate financials - Ensure books are closed timely, maintain the integrity of the GL by delivering accurate financials, and reconcile all sub-ledgers (AP, CIP, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Sales Tax, etc.
)
Daily processing & review of Accounts Payable and vouchering of vendor invoices
Long-term Organic Growth - Monitor and improve internal controls by implementing continuous improvement and efficiencies in compliance with Winchester and Aptiv policies
Culture - Champion the Winchester culture while creating a strong business unit

Collaborate across departmental teams in Hermetics and Winchester’s corporate finance in a way that leads by example, holds people accountable, and utilizes data to make informed decisions.

Update and track KPI-based metrics and incentives to reinforce the right company behaviors
Continually seek ways to simplify your workflows and rationalize costs by suggesting improvements
Maintain and support A/P to strengthen and build the corporate culture
Cross-train with other finance team members to eliminate single points of failure and capacity issues
Coordinate with your manager to meet deadlines for all financial closing periods and projects assigned
