Staff Accountant
This is an ideal position for a public accountant with 1-7 years of experience who is looking to grow into management with partner-track potential.
Responsibilities:
• Management of client tax return deadlines and extensions
• Collaboration with partners, managers and staff on workflow and workloads
• Prepare and review state and federal tax returns, extension requests and projections for closely held businesses, individuals, partnerships, estates, trusts and non-profits including extensions, along with required quarterly estimated payments
• Prepare adjustments and workpapers, analyze and review financial statements for closely held companies mainly utilizing QuickBooks, either for financial reporting purposes or tax returns
• Correspond and communicate with taxing authorities as needed (IRS and states)
• Research complex tax issues and communicate findings effectively
• Assist in financial statement preparation (audit, compilation and review)
Position requirements:
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in accounting or tax
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• 3+ years of recent tax return preparation or auditing within a public accounting firm
• Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to learn
• Flexible schedule during busy seasons
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,721.
00 - $75,011.
