*\*\*Job Summary:\*\**
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our organization.
As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our organization.
You will be responsible for accurately recording and reporting financial transactions, analyzing financial data, and providing support to the Chief Financial Officer.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and receivable, accounting principles, financial management, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.
*\*\* Job Duties:\*\**
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Validate and enter vendor invoices into ERP system
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data entry and updates
- Utilize technical accounting skills to analyze financial data and prepare reports as needed
- Assist Chief Financial Officer with financial auditing processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and perform regular audits to identify potential financial discrepancies or errors
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to support various accounting tasks
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain productive vendor relationships
- Provide recommendations regarding individual customer accounts and collection effort escalations as necessary
*\*\*Requirements:\*\**
- Experience and/or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity & comfort level with ERP systems
- Familiarity & comfort level with common small office environment & operations
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and general ledger reconciliation
- Excellent communication and organizational skill
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with utmost integrity and professionalism
