The Position
Working directly for the Vice President of Financial Reporting, the Assistant Controller will be responsible to for coordinating, administering, and controlling financial operations.
Provides tax, insurance and other reports required by governmental regulations.
Review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports.
Directs all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts.
Oversees the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.
Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.
Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
Will be responsible for a team of salaried professionals.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance plus a minimum of 8 years direct industry experience, 4 of which must have been in a people leadership role or an equivalent combination of education and experience, prefer an MBA.
