Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries including supporting documentation, providing detailed oversight to proper worktag usage.
Assist with the monthly close process.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Complete operational accounting transaction including, but not limited to: gift accounting of endowment, pledges, annuities, scholarships and
spendable funds, lease accounting following FASB and GAAP standards, prepaid expenses and revenue and expense recognition.
Assist with annual audits including all requirements necessary for non profit and higher ed reporting including, but not limited to, annual reconciliations, lead schedules, footnotes, financial statements and analysis.
Assist with the preparation of all external filing requirements and updating compliance requirements lists to ensure timely filings.
Assist with creating and updating accounting and finance compliance policies and procedures in compliance with FASB and GAAP.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, business accounting, or finance
3-5 years of direct accounting experience

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Clery Act, the University annually provides a report to each student and current employee, as well as to prospective employees and students, that provides a detailed disclosure of information regarding campus security practices (including Emergency Response Plan, Timely Warnings, Emergency Notifications, Missing Persons, fire safety policies, fire prevention data, and Crime Log policies), as well as crime and fire-related incident statistics for the preceding year.

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment.
All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.
(NACES).
